Dupa cum s-a anticipat, viitoarea supermasina Viper nu va mai purta numele Dodge, Marchionne a luat decizia de a dezvolta sub-brandul SRT intr-unul de sine statator. De viitorul Viper se leaga si sperantele alfistilor de a avea un succesor pentru Alfa 8C.
Deocamdata, masina este supusa testelor, si a fost surprinsa cu ochii la vedere : linkt

Cateva desene ale unor pasionati. Imi plac, dar sunt prea caricaturale, este clar ca masina de serie nu va arata chiar asa.

Stiu, am si spus-o, dar m-a dus cu gandul la grila clasica Alfa in ideea legaturii dintre Fiat si Chrysler, si in conformitate cu acele voci care sustin ca daca Alfa va mai avea vreo supermasina in viitor, ar putea fi bazata pe Viper !

Va fi disponibila si o versiune pentru circuit - GTS-R, pe care o vom vedea si in campionatele GT din Europa (in poza de mai jos, versiunea destinata campionatului american Le Mans Series).

Pentru ca reciclarea unor anumite elemente este caracteristica tuturor marilor concerne auto, stopurile de ceata/marsarier chiar par identice cu cele de pe Delta :
