e un maxiyacht construit cu materiale tehnologice si f. performante , condusa de un skipper neo-zeelandez ce participa la regate de vela pe tot globul...!!!!

Alfa este main sponsor la Barcolana, o regata ce se desfasoara la Trieste, in octombrie, unde participa si maxiyachtul Alfa Romeo, cu skipperul Crichton, dar si alte 2000 barci intre profesionisti si pasionati...

in ianuarie se anunta debutul Casei Alfa in lumea catamaran-ilor!!!!
un skipper italian va incerca doborarea recordului de traversata solitara a Atlanticului, de la Dakar la Guadelupe, cu un catamaran de 6 metri numit ONE SHOT ALFA SPIDER, o barca hipertehnologica si rapida, din materiale compozite, pe o distanta aprox. de 2700 mile(5000km.)!!!

daca trece , in finala sunt New Zeeland, alt zid...
pentru a nu vorbi de Alinghi cu care se vor confrunta in cadrul America's Cup.dar doar daca castiga Luis Vuitton.

Dupa yachturile Alfa Romeo care ne-au obisnuit cu victorii,si Lancia se gandeste sa intre in lumea competitiilor pe apa,de data aceasta in cursele barcilor de mare viteza : link.

maine incepe a 33 editie a Cupei America.
2 participanti, si inca ce participanti....
Alinghi si Oracle
elvetienii(ce au castigat ultimele 2 editii , care nu au iesire la mare....)si americanii pe care-i roade invidia...pe buna dreptate...trofeul e a lor , in buna masura de secole...
100 milioane contro 150 ale americanilor de buget.
concentrat de tehnologie, solutii ingenioase, barci diverse(catamaran vs trimaran),dispute polemice, tribunale...samd
locul faptei: Valencia.
obisnuiti sa vedem dispute apropiate in plecare si incrucisari de barci (grele)...24 tone ,ce navigheaza cu 10 noduri in bolina si 12-13 in pupa, maine vom vedea giganti ce cantaresc jumatate si cu viteze de 20 noduri in bolina si 30 la pupa.
pentru a va face o idee:
in 2007 Luna Rossa avea:
lungime 26 metri ,catarg 32,5 metri, greutate 24 tone

in 2010 Oracle are:
lungime 30 metri, catarg 68 metri , greutate 16 tone.
in 2010 Alinghi are:
lungime 36 metri , catarg 52 metri ,greutate 12 tone.
problema e ca nimeni nu le-a incercat , cu atat mai putin vazut intr-un match-race.
de maine avem posibilitatea.
cel mai bun din trei dispute, castiga Cupa America!
