Revista engleza Autoexpress a redactat un articol in care sunt analizate 20 de masini care au reprezentat un punct de cotitura in istoria fabricantilor lor.
Primul autovehicul avut in vedere este Alfa 156 :

Miracle: Italian marque was scraping the barrel throughout the early Nineties, leaving owner Fiat wondering why it bothered propping up its historic but increasingly faded sports car division. The 145, 146 and 155, all rather obviously based on the Fiat Tipo, lacked style and verve, and upheld Alfa’s reputation for being tempermental.

The 156 of 1997 brought Alfa back with a bang. It blended stunning looks and exhilarating performance, and had niggles that endeared rather than infuriated. Plus, there were no glaring Fiat links. No wonder it was voted 1998 European Car of the Year.

Alfa 156 eu o consider una din cele mai frumoase masini. E frumoasa si acum ....la 11 ani de cand a fost lansata. Are linii...are motoare...

Frumoasa este, intr-adevar, are linii dar din pacate nu se mai produce. Cit despre motoare, momentan sunt toate cam depasite moral, in afara de JTS sa zicem, si JTDm.

Clasica problema, daca avea mult-dorita tractiune spate sau integrala, era foarte aproape de perfectiune

E putin mai complicata problema, intr-adevar, transaxle e(ra) de vis, un diferential bun, dar si motoare de conceptie Alfa care sa inlocuiasca deja vechile TwinSpark si V6 ar fi (fost) de dorit. Evident, toate astea pe un sasiu mai bine echilibrat si rigid ;)
