so far this is what we're thinking: great chassis and steering, supple ride, great performance. It's properly quick. But its flappy paddle gearbox is a pain in the bum, the blown 1.75-litre engine is too laggy until the boost kicks in with a chirruping whooompfhh, and you have to stand on the thing to really get it moving.

Alfa Romeo has now announced official UK pricing for its mid-engine pocket rocket, which will be available for order in October priced from £45,000 (equal to US$71,600 or €53,600 at the current exchange rates) on the road, with first deliveries scheduled for early 2014.
In the U.K., and quite possibly elsewhere, the 4C is priced between the base 271hp (275PS) Porsche Cayman that has an OTR of £39,694 (US$63,153 or €47,300) and the faster 321hp (325PS) Cayman S that retails for £48,783 (US$77,600 or €58,100).

We'll have to wait for Alfa to make an official announcement for U.S. pricing, perhaps as early at the LA Auto Show in November, but for what it's worth, in the States, the base Cayman has an MSRP of $52,600 and the Cayman S, of $63,800, meaning a sub $60k price is not too far off.
