Sherlock Holmes - film usurel, sincer sa fiu aveam asteptari mai mari de la el, m-am dus la cinema pentru ca e regizat de Guy si pentru ca joaca nebunul de Downey Jr. Faza insa cu preamareata natie englezeasca amenintata de o dictatura mi s-a parut suspect de familiara, mai ales pentru ca am vazut si "V for Vendetta".

O revelatie pentru mine, si un film pe care-l recomand tuturor masculilor purtatori de "cojones" , fani ai fotbalului sau nu , este Green Street.

Nu stiu cat de actuala ar fi, insa avand in vedere ca am pus de curand mana pe DVD-uri, recomand cu caldura seria Band of brothers (am descoperit acum cu surprindere ca are un scor aproape perfect pe imdb). E vorba de o miniserie pentru televiziune de 10 episoade, produsa pentru HBO, de Steven Spielberg si Tom Hanks.

Tot de curand am vazut si recomand Painted veil, un film facut dupa o nuvela a lui Somerset Maugham.

Urasc filmele despre sporturi ( cum fac americanii multe despre ale lor activitati ), desi stiam de GSE, nu m-am obosit sa-l vad, nici fotbalul nu ma misca in general. Am primit acum un dvd cu toate extra etc, si am zis wtf, n-am nimic de pierdut in afara de 2 ore noaptea tarziu. Probabil ca nu aveam asteptari mari de la el si tocmai pentru asta am fost surprins.
Cat despre "Awaydays", din trailer pare a fi doar a varianta indie a aceleiasi povesti. :unsure:

Eu l-am vazut cu mult inainte de hype, nu am fost deloc impresionat. Dar poate daca eram american retard cu patriotism implantat de mic ... cine stie, poate ramaneam impresionat de ... ceva.

Football Factory e bazata pe cartea omonima a lui John King si are o distributie mai 'genuine' decat GS. Venind vorba de carti si huliganism, recomand si Colin Ward 'Steaming In', o capodopera a genului.
'The Firm' a primit un remake, parca si originalul era bazat pe un documentar despre ICF in anii 80 difuzat pe BBC, putin cam 'cheesy'. Actorii din filmul respectiv au 'reusit' insa performanta sa fie citati ca si hooligans de catre politie dupa evenimentele de la meciul de cupa dintre West Ham si Millwall cand s-a lasat cu invazia terenului si lupte de strada.
De altfel e o moda, toti fostii 'top boys' au iesit la inaintare cu biografii, consultanta la filme etc. Nu mai merge treaba bine de cand cu CCTV-ul, nu te mai primesc nici in pub daca ai geaca Stone Island, Burberry au retras din fabricatie celebra sapca, dar lumea e fascinata de povestile din anii 60-70-80, asa ca merg bine incasarile.

Da, merita vazut dar e o copie dupa The Brave One, imho.

Armored, daca va pretuiti timpul si va considerati oameni inteligenti, nu il vizionati, e o prostie incredibila, scenaristul merita biciut in piata publica, iar producatorii bagati la puscarie pentru prostia de a baga bani in asa ceva.

Shutter Island - un thriller psihologic foarte bun, probabil cel mai bun de la Silence of the Lambs, in care Scorsese readuce in scena tehnica suspansului a lui Hitchcock.
