Hi dear Alfisti,

The annual national meeting of all Italian car fens in Bulgaria will be held on the 7th of October 2006. The meeting is organized by "Club Alfa Romeo Bulgaria".

Last year we had more then 200 cars present at the event, more then half of them were Alfas. In addition for the first time in Eastern Europe Club Alfa Romeo Bulgaria presented the Alfa Romeo 159 and europe's top selling car right now the new Fiat Grande Punto.

This year the event will be held at the "Dragon-international speedway" near the city of Plovdiv. The event will start at 10:30 and in the first half of the day the program will include the folloing contest:

1. Optical Tuning-wheels, tyres, bumpers, spoilers, leather seats...everything concerning the looks of the car.

2. Performance Tuning- engine, brakes, transmission e.g. everything that has to do with the mechanical parts of the car.

3. Audio Tuning

4. Best Retro Car

Second part of the festival will include the more attractive to the public race's:

1. Drag Racing 1/4mile

2. Skilled Driving

3. The Italian Chase- which should be the most attractive of all.

ps: more info to follow soon.

Thanks for posting them here...

The only problem was the weather, but somehow we were lucky enough.

Next year you should come for sure.

Next ItalFest will be again in the end of september or early october...if we don't decide it to move it before July-August period of summer holidays. But that is for the ItalFest.

Next national meeting will be somewhere between 15-April-15th of May...Most probably it will be againg in the northern part of Bulgaria, so it will be closer to Bucurest then to Sofia 8)

Now we are going into the winter period  which I personally hate

Well the official dealer of VW and AUDI in Bulgaria as well as in many other EU countries is Porsche (nothing to do with porsche cars)....and they have agreed on purchasing the VW toureg TDI for such cases.

They also said the there is no final deal yet on any cars....

ps: To tell you the truth I won't be surprised to see Porsche as a ambulance cars in Bulgaria....
